A New Me!!!!

Why in life do we feel the need to fit in with the world? We feel the need to look a certain way, to weigh a certain weight or to even act a certain way. Truth be told though, is that perfect does not exist. Yes, you heard me right “perfect does not exist.” However, we go through life striving for perfect anyways. To be honest, what do we achieve once we reach our level of perfect? The answer may shock you but we achieve nothing. Once the level of perfect we are after is achived nothing happens besides life goes on. I know what you are thinking once I get to my goal weight or once I start working harder at my job or keep my house cleaner people will finally begin to love and accept me. The truth is that once you hit your goals you are still you. If you don’t like who you are now then you will not love the person you are once you achieve your goals. This is the one thing in life that, for to many of us, we do not take the time to realize. Instead of taking time away from our lives to mold us into what others would like us to be, how come we dont take the time to mold ourselves into a person that we are proud of? If this means only pleasing yourself and not the others around you, then so be it. The one thing that I can admit that I regret, at this very moment,  is all the time that I have wasted pleasing others. I have wasted so much time molding myself into the perfect person in others eyes and am just realizing that I hate the person I have became in the process. So instead of becoming a person others want me to be I have decided to become my own person, a person that I can be proud of. With all that said, I now say let the journey begin…..

All donations go towards helping continue my blog grow and help reach/help as many individuals as it can, while on their mental health, fitness, self love or motherhood journey.

  1. You are so right about this. The drive for perfection often come from a space of feeling less than and therefore will not be suddenly resolved by achieving a goal. Great post, thank you for sharing.

  2. Thank you for sharing your story! I often times try to please everyone all the time and it’s just not possible and very exhausting! So proud of you for starting this journey!
